Cornerstone Center

The Cornerstone Center was created by a partnership between Wake County and the City of Raleigh to provide shelter and support for Raleigh's homeless population. This adaptive re-use project transformed the 1900 Raleigh Hosiery Company building into a multi-service facility for the homeless.

The design of the facility preserved the building's heavy timber decking, brick work, and other original architectural elements. The renovation created space for 20 transitional housing units, a health clinic, mental health services, and a job training center.
